From student to surveyor, hear our success stories
Three years ago Bryce joined the team as a Field Assistant while studying a Bachelor of Geospatial Science at UniSA. In 2021, he transitioned into the role of Infrastructure Surveyor and now works predominantly on topographical and cadastral surveys. With the support of Alexander Symonds, Bryce has since received from UniSA a Graduate Diploma in Surveying and is working towards becoming a Licensed Surveyor with the Surveyors Board SA.

Eligibility: what we’re looking for
At Alexander Symonds, we welcome students at any stage of their studies, with a belief in providing opportunities without rigid academic prerequisites. We prioritise qualities like passion, curiosity and a genuine interest in the world of surveying above all else.
Tertiary education requirements
Undergraduate opportunities are open to students undertaking tertiary study relevant to Surveying and Spatial Sciences, such as:
- Bachelor of Geospatial Information Systems/Bachelor of Surveying
- Bachelor of Spatial Science
- Diploma of Surveying or Certificate IV in Surveying and Spatial Information Services
- Drafting, Project Management, Spatial Data Analysis, Planning or other relevant areas.
