 A Cyrax 3D laser scanning system is utilised to rapidly capture a highly accurate point cloud of data. The operating accuracies are at the 5 mm level. As soon as the Scanner has scanned a structure or site, a combination of advanced 3-dimentional visualisation and modelling software allows us to use the 3D point clouds for a wide variety of applications, including those that require export to CAD and rendering software. Being a remote measurement system, surveys of hazardous areas can be undertaken without risk.
 Applications The Laser Scanning System is primarily used in operations & maintenance activities in the plant and civil/survey fields of engineering and construction. Its second major field of application is in the architectural and structural engineering fields for the documentation of existing structures.
