| This project involved the data acquisition and compilation to develop a Graphical Information System of all infrastructure assets over a number of defence department installations within South Australia. |

| Pipeline Surveys |
| Alexander Symonds have undertaken numerous surveys of long distance pipeline routes in South Australia and interstate. This work has included route selection , profiling for design , setting out , and "as-built' surveys as well as boundary surveys for easement acquisitions. The 100 km gas pipeline survey between Geelong and Colac included most of these elements. |

| Adelaide to Belair Railway |
| A comprehensive boundary survey and extensive engineering detail survey was undertaken for 20 km of railway corridor commencing near the City of Adelaide and ending at Belair in the Adelaide Hills. The surveys created over 40,000 information points. |

| Building refurbishment surveys |
| On various occasions Alexander Symonds has undertaken surveys within offices and warehouses to produce digital data thereby enabling architects and building designers to produce their designs more efficiently. |

| The ongoing acquisition of modern and precise survey equipment has enabled Alexander Symonds to provide accurate survey information to assist a leading manufacturer with the design , set out and quality control of their production line machinery. |
| Vineyard Management |
| The Adelaide and Mount Gambier offices have been involved with many vineyard projects in the South East, Adelaide Hills, Barossa and Clare Valley regions of the State. The surveys carried out are to provide contours for horticultural and irrigation design purposes and to accurately set out the vine rows. Spatial databases have been established for some of these sites to provide a farm management tool into the future. |

| GPS Control Surveys |
| Alexander Symonds utilises Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to perform various survey tasks . The provision of equipment and personnel on large scale , precise geodetic surveys within the Philippines and South Australia are two such examples. |

| Regular surveys of some reservoir sites requiring precise measurements are carried out for the South Australian water authority to assist them with their dam monitoring analysis. |
